Oyster Stew

We started adding green onions after trying Paula Deen's recipe and really, really like it. Her recipe calls for cream but we use whole milk, most of the time. If we have cream, we'll add it.

- 2 green onions chopped
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 12 oz fresh, raw oysters undrained
- 2-3 qt whole milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper (or black)
Sauté onion in butter until tender.
Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until hot. Be careful not to boil.
Cook until oysters are done, approximately 20 minutes.
